Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club is very excited for the impending WNCL fixture at Waverley Oval between Victoria and Western Australia on the 8th March 2022, with first ball being at 10am.
This is a great opportunity for the club as it continues to invest into its very important Girls Cricket Programs in providing pathways for young girl cricketers in the local community.
It is also a fitting reward for the Club and Waverley Council to showcase Waverley Oval as a leading cricket ground in Sydney.
The fixture will feature one of Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club’s own girl’s cricketers in Maddy Darke, who will be returning home to Waverley Oval albeit in WA colours. Maddy played her junior cricket at ESCC.
Club President Jim Maxwell AM noted:
“This is a great chance to watch some high level professional women’s cricket at our home ground, Waverley Oval. It also coincides with International Women’s Day on Tuesday March 8th whilst at the same time the Australian Women’s Team compete in the Women’s World Cup in New Zealand”
“We encourage all cricket fans to join us at Waverley Oval on Tuesday.
