ESCC Junior Will Simpson Enters the History Books

Will Simpson batting for ESCC 1st Grade against Fairfield Liverpool in 2021/22.

1st Grade’s Will Simpson joined elite company over the weekend during his innings of 153 against Sydney Uni, becoming the third player to pass 150+ two or more times in a season for Waverley/Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club & the first in over 100 years.

This follows his 174 against Gordon in Round 6.

The ESCC Junior joins Australian Test Cricketer Alan Kippax who did the same in 1918/19 & NSW Blue Charles Gregory in 1901/02.

Will joined the club at the age of seven having been raised in the area. He has played all his cricket to date through the ESCC Pathways, graduating from Juniors, to Green Shield, to Poidevin-Gray Shield & finally 1st Grade.
