As a background, the AW Green Shield Competition has been played for nearly 90 years and is regarded as the strongest Junior Club Competition in the world. Many of the current NSW-based Australian cricketers played A.W. Green Shield.
Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club, now in its 129th year, has participated in every AW Green Shield Competition, winning it most recently in 2019-2020.
It is an honour to be part of a fabulous Competition that is deep in tradition, history and success. A few important notes regarding the Trial:
- Players are invited to bring a 4-piece 156-gram ball with them to the trial.
- If you are unable to attend the session on the 16th of April, please advise as to your availability for the second trial dated the 22nd of April and we will attempt to accommodate any requests.
