Vale Phil Sullivan

11-Aug-2020 The club is very saddened by the passing of club stalwart and Life Member Phil O’Sullivan OAM last night.

Phil has been the backbone of the club for many years, and the clubs strength and standing in the local community both on and off the field is testament to his loyalty, passion and commitment he has shown to it.

Club President Jim Maxwell AM on Phil’s passing.

“This is a sad day for the club. Phil was a leading community figure, who's contribution, not only to this club but also to the broader community, was unmatched.

From Phil’s ‚Ä™Saturday Morning‚Ĩ Cricket Coaching Sessions that he started over 40 years ago which are still going strong, through to his special relationship with Tony Greig, and a host of other international cricketers, including Malcolm Marshall, and all the players, supporters and volunteers who had the pleasure of having Phil in their lives during their time at the club, we are indebted to his vision and hard work. He was a great man.

Our thoughts go to his wife Joan, son Chris and Phil’s extended family”.

The club will update as to details of Phil’s Funeral as they come to hand.

RIP Phil. You legend.
