Nevill makes Test debut at Lord's

Easts wicketkeeper Peter Nevill earned selection for the second Ashes Test and became the 443rd player to wear the baggy green.

"Nev" who joined Easts in 2008 after moving up from Victoria has been a brilliant clubman for the Dolphins, playing 94 matches accross all formats.

Last season he played one of his most memorable innings for the Dolphins, a match-winning 138* against a quality Fairfield-Liverpool attack.

But it's been his record at the next level in Sheffield Shield that has earned his selection - a career average of just under 45 and 172 dismissals in 53 matches.

After a prolific season where he averaged 74 for the Blues, Nevill was selected as Brad Haddin's understudy for the tours of West Indies and the UK.

The club congratulates Peter on his selection.
