Maddinson invites Junior Dolphins to a Sydney Sixers Birthday Bash

Nic Maddinson is giving Easts junior cricketers a money can't buy experience for the first T20 Big Bash game against Melbourne Renegades on Friday night.

Maddinson, Easts' Junior Amabassador, has organised for a section of the SCG to be reserved for 200 junior members and 22 kids will get to play on the famous ground before the match takes place.

The night will see the kids celebrate Maddo's 23rd Birthday, which is two days later on December 21. The opener will meet and greet the kids after the game.

"I've been lucky enough to play the role I have with Easts juniors and part of that is linking with the Sixers as well," Maddinson said.

"It's important to get the juniors to the games and hopefully the kids will enjoy the experience and help inspire them to keep playing."

Of course Maddinson will be hoping the Sixers can put on a good show for the kids and is confident the team has the right balance to contend for the title.

"I think the strongest part of our squad is that we have a lot of players that have played in all three Big Bashes"

"We have all played together a lot now."

Maddinson will be  joined in the squad by 18-year-old Easts opener Matt Condon who won a rookie contract after some impressive performances.

Both will turn out for Easts on Saturday against Randwick-Petersham in the inaugural Rivalry Round, with the Dolphins looking to bounce back from a loss to North Sydney.

"I think last week was disappointing to lose the way we did - another 10 or 15 runs and we could have won," Maddinson said.

"We've played well this year and beaten some good clubs so far but the game against Randwick is a big one".
