Green Shield enter Christmas with a victory

Green Shield have won one of their first three games up to the Xmas period.

The Dolphins have bowled first in all three games and impressed, keeping the opposition’s scores to 183, 168 and 166.

Leg-spinner Mitchell Clayton, who has been training with the senior squad, leads the wicket tally with seven.

However, despite some good starts from the top order the boys haven’t been able to make the runs they would have liked.

The highlight came in the second match, where Easts chased down Blacktown’s score of 168.

Angus Callan made 57 from 74 balls and Max Patterson 32 as the Dolphins chased the target down with three overs to spare.
