Green Shield Round 2, Easts 7-182 off 50 overs v Wests 162 All Out Result: Easts won by 20 runs

Easts Won the toss and batted under sunny skies at the picturesque Waverley Oval.
Vedant and Tom (14) opened the batting and were steady until Tom was run out going for a quick single with the score on 27. Vedant and Ritvik were building another little partnership before Vedant (19) was stumped with the score on 56. We lost a couple of quick wickets (Fionn 2 and Ritvik 17). Yianni was the next to go for 21 and the score at 92. Mitchell (5) came and went with the score on 111. Tom Atlee joined Nikshep and the pair ran well and started to hit out with Nikshep the last wicket to fall for a well made 46 and the score on 157. Tom finished with a well made 40 off 40 balls and Shreyan 3no.
It was all to do for the Easts boys with wickets the keys early on. 
Easts bowled well early and kept it tight. Wests opening bats looked at ease and were batting well until a mix up and Shreyan had the opening bat caught short with the score on 61. Nikshep got the next lbw with the score on 72. Wests put on another 56 before the introduction Vedant changed the match. His off spin put the batters under pressure from ball 1. The next wicket was the Wests skipper caught at cover by Nikshep off Vedant with the score on 128. 2 runs later and in the same over Wests highest scorer was runout with the score on 130. The following over Campbell had the batter scooping the ball to cover. Wests had lost 3-3 off 2 overs with the score now 5-131 off 35 and the Dolphins could sniff another chance was only around the corner. The next wicket Vedant had the batsman caught and bowled and Wests were 6-138. Easts then tightened the screws and bowled 3 maidens. Campbell with the next wicket clean bowling the batsman for 0. Score now 7-139 off 41. Vedant had the next caught by Shreyan and the score 8-149 off 44 overs. Tom Atlee replaced Campbell from the Northern end and kept the pressure on and bowled the no 10 batsman with the score 9-150 with 5 overs remaining. The last pair put on 13 before Tom caused a false shot from the Wests batsman to Shreyan at mid on for Easts to take the game. Easts win by 20 runs.
